Description

The Custodian NOC will be performing IOS-XR upgrades at several sites. After extensive testing and discussions with Cisco TAC, we have been advised to minimise the amount of time where we have inter-operation between the two different IOS-XR versions. As such, the maintenance windows are across 4 consecutive days, each between 22:00 and 02:00. Please note that two separate days have been scheduled for our primary facility in Maidstone due to the number of devices involved in the upgrades. 09/05/2017 – Goswell Road (GOS) 10/05/2017 – TeleHouse (THN) 11/05/2017 – Maidstone (CDC) 12/05/2017 – Maidstone (CDC) [Layer-3 IP Transit Services] All resilient Layer-3 services will see path switches during these works, with potential changes in latency to some destinations, but no significant disruption is expected. All BGP session based services will see a clean shutdown of one BGP session at a time. Dual-homed non-BGP customers will see services move between ports and port flaps during the maintenance window. Non-resilient customers may see an interruption of approx. 15 minutes. [Layer-2 MPLS/VPLS Services] Single non-resilient Layer-2 services will see a short interruption of approx. 15 minutes during each window. Dual resilient services will only have one member of each pair down at a time during the maintenance window. [Wavelength Services] None are affected. [Specific Services] If you require specific details of which of your services are affected by which window(s) then please email us your service reference (either the original Job number, contract number or Cable-ID) and we will get back to you with the specific windows which affect that service.
